Toledo

Cathedral

Toledo, Spain
Toledo,  Alcazar in right background
The Alcazar is now the Army Museum and I did not set foot in the place but was the cite of a major siege during the Spanish Civil War. When the Fascists in the Alcazar held out until Franco's army arrived to relieve them, it was a major defeat for the Leftists.
Symbol of the Jewish Quarter in Toledo. No Jews live in Toledo  any more but they have a restored synagogue there in case any decide to move back. (Actually we heard two different tour guide talking about this, one in Toledo and one in Cordoba, so ostensibly Spain actually seems kind of hopeful in this regard, offering dual citizenship as an enticement.)
